Website Review Process

Nomination
First a website is nominated, either by the site owner or a site visitor who thinks it is worthy of consideration. If a site is nominated by someone other than the owner, we require that a valid e-mail for the site owner is provided.

Site owner submits website information
Next the site owner must fill out a brief questionnaire about their site. This includes basic site information, the purpose of the website and how the website achieves this purpose. Once this information is complete, the site is added to the nominee list.

Site receives at least 10 votes
Once the site receives 10 votes, it will be entered into the review queue. This is to help us prioritize what sites we review. As we receive more nominations, we may increase the number of votes needed to be reviewed. You can vote for a site more than once, but only one vote per unique IP is recorded per day. Sites can be voted for on the site profile page or from the nominated sites list.

Site is visited by review panel
Once in the review queue, the site is visited by members of the review panel who will rate the site on the website criteria.

Award determination and notification
After ten reviews, the ratings are tallied and the site owner is notified what, if any, awards the website receives. Read more about how the awards are determined.
